crappie camper wrote:I just ran across this thread. Some very unique names! Mine is the Crappie Camper. Basically, for two reasons; One is i am an avid crappie fisherman and the other is people would mistake it for "crappy" camper.(Kinda of a play on words). When i finish my tear, i am hoping to have a mural of a couple of guys fishing for crappie.

GEE!!! I kind of liked it in black with orange jack-o-lantern features with a big old hunkin' 2x4 to hold up the galley lid.

Can't wait to see the changes by LCG IV. I'm sure it will look terrific!

I haven't made it official yet, but I've been kicking it around for a couple years now. I think I'm naming mine "High Ground" Being a Vietnam vet and my Camp-Inn is my "high ground" in inclement weather. It just seemed fitting to me.

There was no clicky for "bought it from someone and then named it".

I call mine the Cajun Casa. I am Cajun/French and the hub is French/Spanish...that's why I chose both French and Spanish in naming her. Hubby didn't like the name I picked. :( Hubby didn't pay for the Teardrop and doesn't camp. Her name is still Cajun Casa. :)

And.... what would hubby have named the teardrop? Le mari est seul à la maison ;)

 Yep, but he's not alone...the doggie girl keeps him company.

He actually wanted to call it "Cajun Maison".

A friend and neighbor of mine has built a getaway room onto his house he calls the "Tiki Lounge". It really is like stepping into some Caribbean bar down on the islands somewhere...lots of appropriate decor but the biggest thing is that somehow he got the atmosphere right. You walk in and it FEELS like if you looked out the window you'd see the water. Super cool.
Over the last few years it's become kind of an ongoing mission that every yard sale and flea market I'm looking for Tiki-type stuff...masks and such.
Terra and I like the water so much I think that's a good name for our teardrop. The Tiki Lounge. :relaxing:

Name

Postby EdwardJKopper » Sun Feb 22, 2009 10:18 pm

I am calling mine the Hibernator. The decal with the name uses the same font style as the Terminator movie... I'll have pictures soon. Still waiting on the decals to arrive!

Good God this thread is over 2 years old !

I had to go all the way to the front to see if I posted after naming "Chubby" . In Feb 07 I was still thinking about a build.

I really wanted a cubby but I got a little carried away and when I got to this point I noticed Cubby was Chubby and hence the name.

Image

But we are very happy with the results so far Image

Maybe some day I will get him finished

If I build mine to flip open like I plan, it will be called the 'Happy Clam-per'. I'm even envisioning a clam cartoon (happy, of course) to go on it somewhere. All my pick-ups are named 'Bubba'.

What is in a name

Postby Shadow Catcher » Sun Apr 19, 2009 9:29 pm

Compass Rose, this is a change from what I originally planned on. the quilt we have is a compass rose pattern and I will be coming up with graphics and other things. Seemed appropriate.
