one would have more room (a bit heavier), the other with less space (i am single, so not a huge issue)

I like Mike's version the best.

Neither one will be simple but Mikes looks "less Cookie" (if that's a word.)

No...wait, I thought it over. I'd go for the original, it looks more unique and will have more history and theme to work with.

I'm so confused. :?

Del...I think a big design feature on the original one was the pod fenders and the caddie taillights on the struts attaching them...to me, that's what makes it the Roswell, unfortunately, that is also what makes it a time consuming and laborous build...anything else is Roswell II, or whatever you decide to call it....Doug

Del, it depends on the look you like better. To me there is a huge difference between the two, with or without the fenders. Personally I like fenders, so to me the fenders give it a lot of character.
Good luck on whatever you decide. Martha :)

Del...thanks for bring this to my attention...I never paid a lot of attention to the fender skirts on the Roswell...but since I'm going to have them on the Rocketear...I might try that "swoosh" appearance on the skirt...might be a nice touch...Doug

Mike's version might be easier to build and be more user friendly BUT, if it is not the original, it is just another "egg"...go original or go????????????

Yea, my giant Roswell design is JUST another egg, but after building a teardrop that was too small to be practical, I'll let a skinny guy build the original Roswell.

What the picture doesn't show, is the jeep style rubber fenders. It's not much , but it helps.

Mike, I meant no, put down with the "egg" comment...it is afterall a very nice "egg" :D ...BUT...if someone is going to build the Roswell, then that is what they should build or else it will be something beside the Roswell...maybe a Rosegg or an Eggwell  ;)

You're right of course Jack,

'cept I prefer to call it a giant Roswell! Unless someone comes up with a better name.

Here's a pic of the Giant Roswell with the rubber jeep fenders on it.

Well yea I do, it doesn't have the fenders on it yet...

If you look at the underside, you'll notice it's sitting on a 48" wide chassis, derived from a HF. I threw the HF axle away though, and got a torsion axle instead.
