How much did it cost you to build your trailer per LB?
(Sample = 600 LB trailer =$600.00 Dollars.)

...actually we spent about twice(or a little more) what it should have since we were working on developing profile/templates/techniques with the idea of ease of duplication in mind, which caused us to keep tearing it apart and rebuilding it differently...the second was built from scraps and the third is on the verge of coming off the drawing board and going into construction...really have no idea of final cost/time until #3 is built.....

Ummm-I only know for sure what I should have had to spend. Not sure how much I spent till I add it up and guess at the receipts I didn't keep or lost. Bout $1.50 a pound if it weighs what I think it weighs.

TDS...FYI...a basic but very usable TD can be built for between 1 and 2 grand...the more top shelf TDs you see here were probably built for between 3 and 4 grand...it all depends on just what you absolutely haveta have...and how good a scrounge you are....

I will never admit how much I spent. And let's not factor in all the fuel costs for the trips to Sutherlands and Home depot!

I know that mine weighs 1150lbs but the problem is I don't know how much it cost to build.

I was pinching my pennies at the beginning, buying things as I needed them. Then it got to a point where it seemd like I was always waiting for something to come (or money to buy it).
I got a decent bonus at work and decided to buy everything I needed all at once because I got sick of waiting. The problem with that is, I ended up buying stuff that I didn't need/use.
After that it was finish this thing no matter the cost. This was also expensive because I just bought things I needed regardless of price. Speed was the most important.

Does this price also include the tools that you had to buy along the way?

This could get nasty--what about the cost of the land and the cost to build the shop to house the tools to build the tear?

...no way...tools are simply a necessary part of day to day living and in no way should be considered in the build cost...unless you throw them away after the build is done
