We use our stove/oven combination and I'm learning to cook with our 4 quart & 8 quart Dutch Ovens. We also have a tiny microwave when power is available. Sometimes we eat at the cafeteria at Camp Curry (Yosemite) as the food is quite good for all you can eat. :D Danny

I use a gas camping stove for breakfast and lunch. But when its time for dinner and a fire i like to cook in my big black pan right on the fire. As far as having now dishes or pans to wash. I have a full dish and silverware set also pans bought special for the camper. I dont mind washing some dishes.
Im not lazy. I just hang out a lot.

I'm old school...in the first tear...had Grandpa's Coleman stove in it...circa 1950....and still use the white gassers...new ones are smaller...but for serious cooking...the DO, or the grill....for just heating up stuff, the Coleman works for me...Doug

We use a propane cooktop and also use a camp oven that you place over the cooktop. Sometimes we also use a firepit if we can have a fire and I would like to attempt DO cooking, once I get a DO.

Lest see now... I have a 4 burner propane stainless cooktop that I built into a wood frame about 1985... It works great and it was free. A small propane table-top grill. A Weber round smoker. A couple old Coleman white-gas stoves (1 & 2 burner), 2 or 3 charcoal grills, and, now a few dutch ovens & 2 waffle irons that I am just learning how to use. Next I'm gonna weld up a DO table with folding legs. I wish I had discovered DO cooking years ago. All we ever used them for was cooking baked beans.

got a good Coleman dual-fuel stove we've had for ages.
also got charcoal -- but most of my camping stops are at places with a fire pit already there.
got the DO down to a science: my spouse is a past master DO cook from Scouting & UMM

A little bit of everything, depending on what I am cooking...

Propane stove for stove top meals
Dutch oven or stove top oven for baking
Gas or charcoal for grilling
Microwave as needed.
