I decided drinking is cheaper than driving.. I walk to the local bar, have a few beers and some social time and walk home.... cheaper than driving just about anywhere.

I figured I would revive this thread. I have an 06 silverado and I pay about $120 for a fill up. Typically because gas stations limit you to $75 I will fill up at half tank so I can get a full tank. I only fill up about once a month though. If I tow the boat, usually about 100 miles round trip, and I usually visit the lake at least once a month, sometimes twice, I might fill up twice in a month. But I live a whopping 7 miles from work where there are 3 lights and a speed limit of 55.

However to answer the pole, at this time my truck payment is higher, by about $100 assuming I fill up 2 half tanks in a month. But the truck will be paid off in a few months... Woo Hoo :applause:

I won't answer the poll and skew the results....

1995 Chevy S-10 with almost 200K..... definitely paid for!!! Even after the argument with a deer who I am still not sure who won!!!

Right now, with my other hobbies, I'm spending about $250 a month for gasoline!! I'm sure a note for a newer vehicle would cost me more than that.

Well, my '01 Focus is paid for. But at $4.00 per gallon, I pay about $220/mo for gas (I drive about 20K/yr). Gas is still cheaper than the payment used to be, but not by much.

When gas gets to $4.36/gal, then my monthly fuel expense will be equal to my former car payment.
