Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

The only reason I want to know is because I'm 35 going on 36 and it seems to me that everyone that I've met so far are retired or soon to be retired. Yes, now that I'll have a teardrop I will have something in common with all of you.

If my wife and I bring the mountain bikes which we will all the time to a gathering we'd like to see who would be interested in bombing down some techincal downhills with us.

I'll speak for myself. All the retired people have all of this time available. Most of us younger folks have to work, as well as try and vacation and work on projects.

It'll sure be nice to retire and have all of the time in the world to work on projects!

Actually, I really am kidding. Most of the people that I know who are retired seem to have less time for projects.

I downloaded a countdown clock for my retirement this afternoon.

Old enough to know better, young enough not to care....

If the backlog we have for teardrops continues, I see no retirement in the future, near or far, for Craig.

As for me, I'm the one providing the health insurance for this little venture, so, I won't see retirement from my full time job for probably another 16 years, even though our youngest child will be off to college in 2 years.

My father and father-in-law are both "retired" but are just as busy with work as ever. But they can walk away from their jobs for the winter to head to Florida and Arizona. Both were self-employed.

I don't see it being much different for us. Except we plan on traveling around in the winter rather than staying in one spot. And there will be a teardrop involved.

Mike I am post 60 and retired and never leave home without at least one bike. Don't do the downhill stuff anymore, got a bad rotator cuff and it is just to hard on it.
Retirement means you are busier than ever, have no idea where the days go so quickly.

I have at least 7 years before retirement, but as I tell my boss "it's a job, so I can have MY life".... and having lost 50 of the 100 pounds extra... I took a bike to 3 gatherings this year and just got a "real" mountain bike last week! I'm not sure on the 'fancy smancy' technical stuff but am riding more and more and look forward to camping with you and the family.... and my bike too!

Dude, I'm so jealous you only have 10+ months left. I've got 12+ years until my youngest gets out of high school. And then there's college, and marriage. I'll be dead before I can retire.

getting married

getting a better job
getting the kids out of the house
RETIREMENT!!!

Mom, rest her soul, always had a comeback for this -- "Tomorrow never comes" Yep, Life is happening right now. That's it. It's all we are promised and it's Good enough for me. With too much "looking forward" we miss the absolute joy and miracle of life happening all around us.

That's great to here, you don't need full suspension to have fun on the down hills, my wife still has a hard tail and most of time she passes the ones that have full. I on the other hand needed to get a full suspension to give a bit of an edge while riding. After getting our tear done we are going to try to make more road trips and meets some of you. Maybe someday we will be able to ride together.
