what do you collect ?

Here's where we keep the polls, and anyone can start a poll!

I looked thru the old posts, I thought I'd replied to this thread but apparently not. As proven by the movers who packed our "stuff" we (both the wife and I) collect a lot of junk. The movers were very deliberate not to call it junk or crap, they just called it "stuff".

After 2 days of packing, I felt bad and got them some BBQ for dinner. Our single story 3bdrm house nearly took up an entire semi. There was just enough room to fit one of the cars in the back. I tried to throw away some "stuff" before they started packing. I threw out 15 years of car mags but I kept the woodworking mags. Maybe someday when we figure out where we are going to live, I can actually get to making something.

Just had a birthday and..... you guessed it. I get the M&M fire truck dispenser. Kind of cute. Hey, has anyone make a big peanut M&M teardrop trailer? I have seen the Jelly Belly. I think a big yellow peanut M&M tear would look good parked next to that.  I am not sure that would be a good first build though.
Enjoy.

 Oh yeah every time I go out there 4 stories of more stuff than I can carry home.
Last time I was out there I won a 3' stuffed M&M trowing darts at Excalibur.
Had to by a new bag to carry it and the stuff from the store home on the plane.

And some people go there to gamble, what a waste of good money

KEYCHAINS! I have over 4000 in my collection, and I'm President of Keychain Collectors International. http://www.keychaincollectors.com

We also collect Nash Metropolitan items, hubby has a bottle opener collection, some vintage ham gear from when he was 12 and got his license (many moons ago).

One of our sons collects NASCAR things - particularly Jeff Gordon.

The other one is collecting bruises as he snowboards. LOL

South Pennsylvania Railroad work site photos

Postby southpennrailroad » Mon Jun 09, 2008 4:46 pm

I photograph and collect old work sites abandoned by the old abandoned South Pennsylvania Railroad owned by William Henry Vanderbilt. It's like an unfinished puzzle that has been sitting around for the past 125 years and I am putting this unfinished puzzle together. Such as where it was to be built in un worked on sites. Camping as a field researchers done only with my funds.

Long time researching the abandoned South Pennsylvania Railroad along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. God will guide me. As he has done so in the past. southpennrailroad.com

Cookbooks. I love used cookbooks that the previous owner(s) have written in regarding recipes they either loved or hated. Sometimes I find old grocery list tucked away in them. I just love old cookbooks.
