Would there be any interest in a North/South Rally. Sponsored by TearJerkers Liberty Bell & Southern Appalachian Chapters. Next Year in June 2006 in approximately Roanoke Va. Max driving time for the furthest away 12 hours (Ma.& Fl.) This will be primarily an East coast event because of its location, but all are welcome.
There will be other polls on this topic. Length of event, week day VS weekend etc.[/b]

OK!! I am gonna try to be there,, one request though,, I would like to be on the south side of the park. Flamingos do not do well up north so they got to be as far south as possible,,

Len put it together, and we will try to get there,, would love to meet some of tha northern droppers, I would prefer a long weekend trip rather than a mid week trip,

how bout a GRITS cook off for the pot luck dinner,, dutch oven GRITS,,

looking forward to the gathering

We've had snow every morning for more days than I can count... Please give me some chili to warm up the ole bones!!!

Oh, one last request... make it close enough to Michigan that it doesn't take 2 days to get there...

;) Mike...

I've Been flooded with several emails about particular details. Dates, Will there be electric, Can I bring my Dog. Is there a pool. We don't have any at this point. This is a preliminary Poll to determine if there is enough interest to procede with Particular details. The dates will be at the end of June 2006. If we do this it will be with extensive advanced reshearch. That will include participants input. We don't want to get in a situation where we are ill prepared. ie, to many trailers not enough sites, pick a campground that is to small or to large etc. The question Now is" are you interested" do you think this is something you would want to attend. There will be other questions later, and particular details will be at hand well in advance. Thanks.

Happy Trails

June would be a tough month with the two weeks I need to get to Minden and back...other than that I like the idea.

As a suggestion I am located at the junction of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah Valley. I have a good relationship with the Head Ranger to set dates at a beautiful USFS camping area Lake Sherando. Elec., Dogs OK, two lakes, streams, trout fishing, swimming at the base of the mountians. I am NOT a tear owner yet, but will be into it soon and can help make arrangements for anyone interested! This is 25 miles west of Charlottesville and 75 miles north of Roanoke.

Well just pickle the birds first and they will be OK.

how bout a GRITS cook off for the pot luck dinner,, dutch oven GRITS,,

Isn't that the stuff you put under your tires to get out of the snow when your stuck?

Can't wait for the imput poll to start on this. :D

Hi all,

Sounds great, by then I will have met most of the southern members. Only thing I ask is it be held near a big lake or deep river,as I am a kayaker too. kayaking/camping ,it don't get any better than that. Sorry, I will pass on the grits, but a low country boil,or frogmore stew I am in for. Hope to see you all there.
