First I find the chair.
Then I open it and get a bottle of water. :ok:
Then I sit in chair and prepare for the on-slot of people to come and look, help, whatever.
I entertain them while my wife sets everything up. :awesome:

That's the ticket,

1. Unpack coffee pot which is ready to go...plug in if electricity is available.
If electricity is unavailable, see step 3a.

2. Find/use nearest restroom

3a. If no electricity, light a fire for the kettle for the coffee when I get back from the restroom; bank fire or shut down propane for night after brewing.
3b. If there's electricity, pour the first cup and unplug the coffeepot!

4. Ex the dog(s) and get them set up with fresh water, covered place for their crates, feed 'em...and if it's very late, they're sleeping in their crates in the truck.

5. Check the ice in the cooler.

6. Find my entries for the next day, set my alarm and then get some sleep. ;)

I quit passing the rest areas a few years ago. So the first thing I am doing is

><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_67.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_1_67/image.gif"><

Just a friendly warning. ;)

I get a big stick to beat off all the lookie-loo campers so i can start setting up my sweet teardrop campsite. Then i get tired and think about how happy i am that im not on the ground in a tent anymore as i get ready for a nap.

Well, being that we've only been to one gathering & visited family can't say how it would go with just straight camping.
It would also depend on how far we had to drive that day, what time we get there and how far since we last stopped for a pit stop.

1. Being we travel with our old dog, first is take care of the dog, let her do her thing, get her some water and a place to settle down.
2. Would be to start set up and be friendly with anyone who stops by. Gathering or camping, set up the ez-up, get the chairs out, until the galley is done, put things in the galley or whatever else needs doing to be set up.
3. If late get quick meal ready to eat.
If not, kick back relax a little then take a walk around.

I level the trailer, unhook it....... set up a couple of chairs, etc.... and relax.

I have a screen house, but don't set it up very often...

Then I 'visit'...... and have a beer or make a bloody Mary.

I always set up first. Then I have the rest of the time to visit.

We drive around the camping loop looking for a good spot. We'll drive the loop 3 or 4 times before we pull in.

finally I can answer some of these!

We park, unload the trailer, then disconnect (otherwise I have to jack up the hitch so the wheel can go down.
set up the food area, set up the changing/shower/future outhouse TENT, set up the chairs, pull out something cold to drink and crash in a chair or bed.

Still firuing what gets stored where but we are getting there.

Ron

RC and PJ?

Ok, as a new guy here, I gotta ask: RC and PJ? I assume RC is Royal Crown (cola?) So what's PJ? All I could think of is prune juice. (I hope I'm wrong) Porta John? Papa Johns (pizza)?
I prefer Leinenkugels beer. Our camping group likes to pass around a bottle of blackberry brandy at the campfire. Drew

Oh yeah, first thing I do, find a bathroom.

PJ is pickle juice... made famous by Chip, here on the forum.

Please pass the bottle of Asbach Uralt! ;) You got chocolate with that?

I find a spot to park and camp. Then, I take a walk around the grounds for the pooch, usually visiting a human's potty along the way, too. Then, set up camp.

All my stuff is usually IN the TD so I unload and set up and then I'm off to visit !!

One day I might try to STAY at MY site...maybe NOT..
