I have an old fashioned thing called a "budget."
No spendy anything, and the Aluminum skin is spendy. I really have an aversion to aluminum trim besides.
Lots of paint (not a lot of spendy automotive stuff either) and varnish.
More maintenance? Maybe, but if I have anything now in retirement it's time certainly not money.
We'll see if my wood working skills can counter my tight budget!
