I built my own frame from left over bits of steel I had
I used 2" * 1" square tube 2mm thick (not sure what that is in inches)for the side rails
and 2" square tube where the spring hangers attached to the frame to give it a bit of meat to hang onto
the 2" square 2 mm thick for the drawbar triangle
it weighs 42 kg's (93 pounds)
my dada who welded it together and ahs built a lot of trailers said you could have gone lighter yet on the frame as there is heaps of strength in the body of the tear all the frame does is give the drawbar and axle something to hang onto

I used 2x2x.120 square tubing. The tongue as you see it in the pic is 62in from frame to ball. When the body is installed, the nose wll take up 17in of the tongue. I found a tongue box (ATV box) small enough that might work, it will take up another 12in or so. When it is all done, there will be around 33in of tongue.

My frame is simple, but I sure made it complex getting it to my final design and dimensions.... Basic OB-101.

I like that little trailer dolly you got there... There was still yet another section of camping area that I didn't even mention in my preview of Pamplin Grove, because it looked to me like the trailers would have to be wheeled in there by hand... (Too many trees)

The next step up in complexity: an additional stringer, and two sets of diagonal braces. Material mis 2" x 2" x.120 tubing, axle mount is 2 x 2 1/4 angle. Stouter as traileris intended for use with cab dismontede also.

I got that dolly at one of those traveling tool shows. It was only $20, the tires alone would cost that much if you made one yourself.

My frame is relative simple. It is constructed from 2" square tubing, 1/8" thick. The corners are gusseted for strenth.
