Which TTT Profile looks better?

I am building a "Standy" 12 foot + Trailer.

Shown below are several profiles of what I think the trailer will look like (all showing different roof front & back radiuses).

Which of the 4 profiles looks the best?

Any other comments?

I'd say its a matter of personal opinion...

Whatcha plannin' to put overhead? If nothing then all are fine choices - if you are planning a cabinet - then the lesser radius will give you more room inside

As you probably already know, it depends. Aerodynamics doesn't matter much at the speeds we typically drive, so I suppose the more limiting factor would be the uses you intend for the curved spaces on the interior. Curved upper cabinets are obviously less commodious than rectangular-section cabinets. Do you plan to put lighting in the ceiling? If so, where is the best location and does the curved section make a difference?

These are only a few considerations. In the end, it's just what you like and what you wish to do with the volume that you have to work with.

For me, it's more helpful to work on the interior plan first and let that influence the exterior configuration. Find out what stuff has to be where and what clearances you need, then you will know how big a wrapper to put around your stuff.

I know its not unheard of, but I dont think bending wood to get that 6" radius is going to be much fun :?

Taking that into consideration, along with aesthetics, I think the 18" would be a good choice!

The rounder the better, IMO. I like the 24-inch radius design.

While I hate agreeing with the Dog, I have to say that I like the 24-inch radius better also.

Of course, it's YOUR build so do whatever YOU like best. Screw what the peanut gallery likes.

I like either extreme but nothing in the middle. The first radius reminds me of the Mega Mini (RIP), and the 24" radius (very vaguely and just that radius) resembles an Airstream.

I just happen to like Mega Mini's and Airstreams though.

Go with a bigger radius, maybe the 18" or 24". I have a 6" radius on the front of my lifting roof and it was a royal pain to get plywood to curl to that.

My opinion is the 18 inch radius has the best look. Somehow the 24 inch looks too deep in this view.
18" still leaves enough cabinet room while still looking "soft" to the eyes.

The 24" radius would give it more of a vintage look. :D Danny

I vote for the 24" radius! Very vintage pleasing look.

Hey Mark, what are you doing to that kitty cat?
