How about this '33 Willys with a blown 350?

DoWop....the Od problem was cured really easily....the kickdown switch on the carb linkage was screwed up...I just traced the wires back and installed a toggle switch to ground the OD solenoid....not exactly like it was supposed to be done...but it was common to do that...still looking for the correct kickdown switch...kind of a hassle to throw a switch, and push a lever, but all the gears are there....and the 33 looks like a great ride.... Doug

I"m happy towing with my 02, 4 banger, automatic Toyota Camry, got 27 mpg on the Minden trip, at least on the flatlands, not quite as much in the mountains. Sure is better than the 6 and a half mpg that I got with my motorhome some years ago.

Doug,

Go to an electronics store and buy a micro switch with the appropriate lever input. It's a simple matter to fabricate a bracket to use the new switch as a kick-down for the OD.

I pull my TinTop with our 2003 VW Golf TDI. Mileage drops from about 50mpg down to 35, but no problems.

Right now pulling the tear with a 92 Sidekick. Some day maybe we'll have something that looks a bit better in front of our trailers.

In my opinion (for what it is worth), any vehicle that gets you and your teardrop to the places you want to go looks just fine! 8)

Don't get me wrong, I like my Kick. Just that the Woody needs an older truck to look good. After the years out, I'l start an offroad teardrop to pull behind the Sidekick for our way out there trips.
