I guess I can stop picking on Bruce for using a 3/4 ton diesel to pull his tear.

A 1 Ton dually! You definitely get the overkill award.

Lemme guess, it pulls it like it's not even there.

As long as we a showing extremes

Postby LesterS » Mon Oct 29, 2007 1:46 pm

This is probably the most extreme difference between what is needed vs. what is used - for a tow vehicle.

The trailer is a Taylor Coach 8ft Li'l El.

06 Hyundai Sonata GLS-V6

Postby LesterS » Mon Oct 29, 2007 2:03 pm

Actually my tow-ter will be my Hundee Snot-a. It's a 3.3l V6 (GLS) w/ 234 ponies. Tow rated to 2000lbs. (Hopefully the Nest'r will come in at half that.) I'm probably going to need to add a tranny cooler just for extra protection.

The car may look benign - but it is actually quite fun to drive.

(oh yeah, and the 2006 version -- has no speed governor)

New Frontier

Postby dguff » Sat Nov 10, 2007 9:10 pm

http://tnttt.com/album_ ... c_id=29365[img]

I just bought a Nissan Frontier which will be my new tow vehicle. The PT Cruiser worked just fine but it will be a little more convenient with a pickup box and I like the gearing better than the Cruiser.
