Help me with my decorative design

Postby cracker39 » Wed Jul 20, 2005 7:31 pm

I have been redesigning again. I eliminated my drop down floor and raised the height some. Doing so raised the front angle a little and now, I don't think my original stripe design looks as good. I came up with several other designs. Please pick the one that think looks best:

#1 Original Design
#2 Stylized '56 Ford
#3 Lightning Bolt
#4 Stylized Letter S (my last name starts with S)
or
#5 None of the above.

If you think you have a design that would look good, please show me...thanks. Here are the designs:

It's really tough to decide, I suppose it would be easier if I could see the pics. :? Your pictures don't ever seem to come up for me, don't know if it's because I use Firefox or if there is some other reason.
Am I the only one the pics don't show for? :QM

Thanks madjack, that works.

I think I like #4 best, but if you add a couple of lines below that get shorter and narrower and put the name above the S it gives it a little more pizzaz.

Kinda like this Image

I like #2. old Ford Vicky look...more nostalgic to me...#1 I would say no to. I used to paint trucks using that one back in the 80's....It's really similar to a Peterbuilt design also from the 80's I think..I lost the books, but I think that was one of their paint schemes, I used to do that one with 3 or 4 colors but had more stripes in it....Doug Hodder

Dale,
I'm getting the red X in the box on all your images, except the one that Nitetimes posted.
You mentioned the word redesigning... be careful, I got stuck on that one for a long, long time. :?

Sorry guys,

I have no idea why the pictures can't be seen by some of you. I see them now, and I saw them when I previewed my message. I put in the link to my jpeg pics on my web page, highlighted them one at a time and clicked on Img above. It put in the proper html code and they appeared in my preview screen. Maybe Mike can shed some light on the problem. Maybe if I created a album on this site it would work for everyone. Anyway, I just created a web page to see them all:

http://home.tampabay.rr.com/wdsummers/squidgetpoll.html

I am still clinging to the idea of the design tieing the front and back joints together, but it is not really a requirement. Nitetimes, that was a good suggestion. I like it. OK Guys, bring on the comments.

I'd say 3. If you look at the other options, they all utilize angles and curves that are in conflict with the shape of the trailer which has both straight edges and curves. Best option would be a design that compliments or works in parallel with the angles and curve of your trailer.

Remember I'm a techie... so just my thoughts and observations spewing out here...
