Doing anew post... what are the tags like quote code etc for

I still do not understand them
maybe because I do them with out knowing they are short cuts.
B, i, u, quote, code, list, list=, Img, URL boxes and color and size

I click on the faces but it has to be where I want them as I type
otherwise they show up at the end. And it will not let me do cut an past.

I find I have to edit it somewhere else and paste it in.

There is no spell checker (and for those who have to read my bad spelling I am profoundly sorry) I sometimes use my Webers's spellchecker, sometimes use the one on the net, otherwise if it really bothers you send me an inner website email and I will correct it. I do not mind .... as I have said before I love to learn some areas I have a mental block.

When you finish typing, try hitting the 'Preview' button instead of the 'Submit' button. Then go down and change what you see isn't the way you want it. More people should use the Preview button before submitting a post. You'd be supprised how fewer times you would have to go back and edit.

I have a mac so pictures I am use do just draging and putting then there.
Cut and paste is all I need to do with most else
so things like code, list list =
I understand B for bold and U for underline img URL
But quote is this so I can quote any one on the forum?
this is a little like leaning Dos all over. I got a mac before windows showed up.

so I'm just asking

am I the only one who does not under stand all this.

But must addmit I sure do type up a storm.

That works very well now as to the quote with the * above it in the "Post a reply" I get... "
