hi Benny here,my fav style is benror,BUT myfirst build will most likely be the weekender. For me the benroy would not look right with an ac unit hanging out the front.why? It gets hot in texas. 8)

I like the Modernistic/Cub/Modernaire. It has the most streamlined profile IMHO. The traditional Kit is cool when built low to the ground. *Putting on his French beret and artist's snotty attitude, he continues....* "The door shape and fenders need to be in just the right balance to be really sexy. The sides absolutely need to drop to cover the frame. Although top vents are a neccesary evil they should be low profile to keep with the basic clean curves of either of these two profiles. BUT THAT'S JUST MY OPINION..........I COULD BE WRONG....

I have built a Kuffel Creek cubby, restored a 1946 Kit, Built a 4.5 by 10 foot Modernistic using a profile from Grant, built a 4.5 by 8 foot Kit style, and bought a 1936 4 by 8 homebuilt that looks a lot like a Kit but is not quite the same. Now I am planning to build a 4.5 by 9 foot modified Modernistic that will look pretty much like the Grumman 2. So I guess it will be my own design but it really isn't totally original. So there is my answer and I'm sticking to it. Oh, it will have Modernistic fenders and Ford 17" wire wheels.
