Hi all:

This going to sound Soooo smart it is stupid.

What I mean here is; " this whole great and wonderful site is an enormous amount of information put together by all it's members with the very thoughtfull help people who started this site and are now running it and maintaining it."

A big THANK YOU GOOD FOLKS  Who here would love a seperate Categroy dedicated to ALL the trailer parts manufacturers and specialty products needed for them? Vote yes or no and comment on what it would look like.

Am I sleep deprived or maybe did I have too many coffees this morning or what? :? OH YA Maybe this guy, ( me ), has, " To Much Time On His Hands ".

The silly things we think about ,
:)

Thanks: Coop

I looked at that many months back. Thanks for reminding me about it. Some of the information was no longer current due to variety of reasons.

Everyone has some kind of a personal phone directory of their own. What I am kicking around is a specific, " Trailer Group Website Directorythat is Somehow User Driven."

I am, "Somewhat" , " computer tech savvy ". I wonder how we as a group could up date it and contribute to, in ongoing bases. " Sort of USERS contribute web site links only."

I am aware this might be an enormous job for a computer specialist. I put together a contact list of many of my contacts accrued over a 25 year period in residential and commercial construction industry. I ended up with around 800 contacts. I have also taken a 10 day, university course in, "Microsoft project".

It took me several weeks just to input and categorize names of many individuals, companies, sub trades specialties. It ended up being 12 legal pages of line items in excel spreadsheet, (Landscape). l did a lay out as follows: Company name / contact name/ phone number / type of business/ title /a specialization or grouping / email address / business address / etc. I had accrued and compiled around 700 names just for business.

What I envision is something far simpler:
1) Category title
2) Home Pages of Web Sites only.

This sounds simple but probably in Computer Land quite involved especially if it is User Driven and or Paid for by the people who link post their Home Page Link on it.

I am just kicking around ideas to help other people.

What is most important is, "What does Mike, yourself and other users think?" This would take time effort and someone would need to pay for this.

Thanks,
Martin

Ps I appreciate this site and being able to use it.

I think it's a great idea. Yes, the links that we put together years ago are now either dated or non-existent. It's the sort of thing that needs to be updated regularly. Many members that helped put the original various lists together are either not on the site or are hit and miss in attendance anymore. If someone wants to put together a new updated list of suppliers, vendors etc..., that would be great. Many of us have put together tutorials and lists in the past. It's time for some new blood to jump in. We just need someone to step forward and do it. Doug

Hi Doug and fellow Trailer Junkies: :R

Is there someone out there that is proficient in "Oracle" or some other web progaming that knows how to set up some user input perameters . . . I don't know the proper programing language.

If there was a way to set that up everyone could cut and paste links until the cows come home.

Keep smilin . . . maybe someone will know a simple solution or programing format.

Good thoughts, :worship:
