I have several check lists which I can not find at this time :? but anyway I wondered how many of you use one?

I would add a poll but for some reason it does not show soooooo,

do you or don't you

And if so  could you share it?

Most lists on the net are for tents or Big RV's and we are in the middle the little guys with the wheels! :beautiful:

I am a diehard Virgo. Of course I have a list!

It does include tent items too, as we bring a tent with the TD and use it as a changing room. It is tailored to us, but it has some good basic items. We follow this thing and mark it twice! I made a .pdf for it below.

Yes, at my age I might forget to hook up the teardrop without a reminder of some sort.

Generally no.The tear has most everything that stays with it tools cooking utensils basic food items... Nancy will do a perishables food list which gets loaded into the refrigerator in the house and carried out to the car.

No I don't. Tear stays pretty well setup even with some clothes I only use for camping so once washed go right back in.

Half of the fun of camping is anticipation. I start with the menu for the days we are out. Based on this info I know what equipment I need to cook these meals and pack the needed items IE dutch oven, mini grill, toaster oven ect. There are the clothes and bedding and towels and such that basically don't change. Yep we set down and plan and almost never are without a needed item.

Two real dumb past screw ups was no matches

and standing can in hand and realizing you have no can opener

Yep it still happens even WITH a list

I'd be a drooling, afunctional mess without my Excel camping spreadsheet. Well, not really, but I do love it.

I'd post it, but the file's too large. The packing list part isn't that big, compared to some I've seen on here, but I have all sorts of other stuff I keep on there, like my wish list, project ideas for the TD or campsite, house chores that we need to do before we leave for each trip, winter camping checklist, TearJerkers checklist for stuff we only need to bring when we camp with those guys.

It gets edited regularly, and my goal is to remove a couple of items from the packing list each year. Stuff we always bring and never use, mostly. The spreadsheet format is quick and convenient for me, since I sit in front of a computer Monday through Friday anyway. I really do enjoy poring over it and tweaking it.

Yep I have one for the items that are to stay in the trailer and one for stuff to put in the trailer before we depart. The later I add to during the week prior to leaving.
