Does 3 week road trip in a minivan and no tent(me and three kids) count? We never went out to eat ,only eating out of the cooler and a food bin. Stopping occasional to grocery shopping(ice cream dinner night can't keep it, got to eat it !!) Let the kids find city parks with picnic tables. Let the kid the do, the (what to see next) navigating.Saw a lot of National parks Great fun!! 8)
Just got done with 8 day road trip in the teardrop with my son and dog. 8 days,8 parks, 3600 miles. The main thing is to have everyone pick things up. :worship:

we did 9 or 10 but two in the middle were in a motel do to a broken axle. Ca, az, NM, Az, CA most in KOA's hot showers. The side doors were barley on locked with padlocks know one bothered it. Saw some very unusual trailers along the way. One the door was 3 feet tall and it had a bottom of a boat above it, the opposite of a what we think of when we see boat campers with the boat bottom as part of the roof. even now you do not see many teardrops or small trailer on the road.

I did 11 days at a Music Fest field camping in August.

No shade, utilities or hook ups. Ran my Fantastic fan every night all night with no problems off of a group 24 deep cycle battery.

Happy Trails

Grandson and I did 40 days last summer, cheated a bit with a couple nights in hotels in Vegas as I don't have A/C and it was a little toasty and we needed a pool. Left Calgary AB, then through Montana, Idaho, Washington, Victoria, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, and home again.

Some of these members are real hard-core teardroppers. We did 15 days and 2800 miles this January. Was fun but not as much as I hoped. Gettin' old I guess. Breaking camp every few days was a pain but our reservations were short. Too much freeway driving too. I miss camping this spring now that has it warmed up nice. We wanted to take a few days during the week at different local parks. Last fall, at the suggestion of another Ohio camper, we stayed at Delaware Lake SP and the sites were laid out very nice. We did set up our camper in the backyard last week. :-)

I've done 11 nights twice in trips to Wyoming. Each trip I had one or two base camps for a few days, that allowed for a solar shower and a bit of laundry. The most challenging part each trip was the grocery restocking mid-trip. Most rural grocery stores don't have huge lots to park a hitched up rig and trailer in very easily.

Longest was around 2 months. California to NE Provinces and back by indirect routes. I was supposed to be in Halifax for a week, then a month later was supposed to be in NYC. Had a great time. Best camp find ever was Floyd Bennett Field in NYC, $15 with my access pass. No hookups but good showers.

I lived in mine from 5/15/18 to 8/02/18 when I first moved to MT and was gutting my house. I had ice chests and a water supply, enjoyed it. Life was simple and fun

I think our last trip to the four-corners was about 24 days.

We had planned to do another near-month long trip this spring then things kinda went to hell in April.
