Favorite Breed of Dog to Camp with

What's your favorite breed of dog to camp with in a TD. I understand you go with what you've got. But if you were considering a dog to share such a small space with, what breed would you have? Kids want a dog, so I'am at least considering the possibility of camping with it.

I have a British lab. They are smaller the a American lab. They are more mellow then the American lab 8) . But they do shed a lot :( . But there is +_- in all dogs.

Shih Tzu - hypoallergenic, loyal, friendly, doesn't bark much (if she does, you better listen), and is a wonderful camping companion. I remember one gathering where her feet didn't touch the ground all evening-she went from lap to lap of the Campers-pretty smart, if you ask me ;)

Boston Terrier, not to big and easy upkeep [short hair].

We love ours. Cairn Terriers. They love all of the camp action, don't shed, and take up very little space in our 5-wide.

Stout is the best camping dog around. Jack Russell/Pitbull mix. Doesn't bark and loves to have fun and snuggle at night. Love this little guy.

:) I think the best breed to travel with is the one you have!!! Everyone loves their dogs. Mine, at this time, is a Corgi/Border Collie mix -- VERY smart. In fact, he is the reason I bought my teardrop. I wanted to travel with my dog......

Black lab! Best dogs ever! Golden retriever is a close second.

My current companion is a Great Labradane. My favorite breed Doberman Pinscher. As I camp alone most of the time I want big and scary yet super friendly but no one comes to my site univited to find out.
