Bold Face & Colored Text

Postby halfdome, Danny » Tue Feb 07, 2006 12:47 pm

I read in a tread, someone construed using bold & colored text as being powerful. I always use bold & colored text in all my posts and personal emails because I feel it is easier to read and more creative than the washed out plain black text. I was wondering, is the use of bold and colored text considered offensive to this forums members? Should it only be used in anger or to make a point or is it OK whenever. Danny :)

Personally, I don't care what color you print your posts in. Frankly, I think color is KEWEL! (I'd probably make my posts always in color if I were smart enough to do it without having to choose the color every time!) Just don't print in caps.........as this is always considered yelling, and quite rude.

Don't know the answer, but it isn't offensive to me.
It is easier to read as well.

I think it's ok as long as it's not gray.

It's the way I have always posted and for me it's easier to see, not trying to be powerful or offend anyone. If I am out to make a point, I will sometimes use caps. I also use more direct wording so the point doesn't get missed. And like I have said, if someone gets offended by my posting, they can just bypass it when they see it. Also a quick way to tell if I'm upset and trying to make a point, I will not end my posting with "Have a good day". It'll be something else or nothing at all.

Have a good day.

I think it's great that some of us use colour, I'm just too lazy to change the font and style every time I post.
Cheers
Paul

PS : Gage I had'nt noticed that you used more direct wording

I've got no problem with bold faced and color, but I HATE all caps, and people that use all lower case and no punctuation.
