I too use Allstay's Camp & RV app.

I also use the Gaia map app for land status - BLM and USFS– for boondocking.

I keep a lot of state's highway apps on mine. Mostly use western states = Caltrans, NMRoads, ADOT AZ Hwy, Nevroads, UDOT- good for planning ahead. Had an accident that closed a hwy on our route when I was checking road conditions, made it an easy detour to get passed it.

I also keep the forest service wildfire incident app handy.

Do you happen to know of any GOOD tutorials for GAIA? I'm very frustrated with it, especially the route creation functions. None of the tutorials I've found, including the GIAI website are of any help at all. I've used web/tablet/phone apps with no luck.

Alltrails is indeed hiking. Allstays seems more trailer and rv oriented. Unfortunately not available for android.

In poking around I found Freecampsites, which itself is free and while certainly not complete, had some interesting finds. I had just driven to Utah on I80 and found a bunch of Nebraska wildlife managment areas that offered free camping. No details.

Yep that’s the one I use. I have not used it for creating a route in over a year. I mostly use it for land status and dropping a pin for a planned boondocks camp or junction to get there.

Yes, that's the one. I swapped some messages with tech support, and now the same actions I was doing before mysteriously work. Over all, I like the planning ability with it, just a pain to get it all working at first.

Waze on road

I've been using Gaia for a few years off and on. I had the trail premium for 6 months and will upgrade before our next trip. I like how you can stack maps and there are a ton of useful maps. I was using the motor vehicle use map as a layer, it helps to know which trail/road is open. It's easy to plan trips and manage POE's, maps and waypoints on the computer and everything shows up on all your devices. I have been using an iPad in the Jeep and am going to add the app to my iPhone for Mt biking.

It seems hard to use at first but have to keep with it till you figure it out. There is a guy out of OR I think that has some good videos.
