Alright Ira, I see FENDERS in your avatar, but they are not where they should be. I thought you'd have them on by now. If they are, then for heaven's sake, get us a picture!!!!!

We have both, but only use 12V. It's a rare occassion when we are camping where 110V is available, so just haven't bought any appliances requiring 110V. We do carry a shore cord just in case we end up at a place that requires us to hook up. 8)

Since I am building an Ultralight I want to keep it simple and light. A battery is over top weight wise.

I don't watch TV when I camp (no TV in Idaho mountains), and I hate microwave cooking anytime.

Also, the lightest way to get light is with portable LED lights, or my trusty old Coleman lantern.

I might put in a couple 110v outlets, but don't bet on it.

If I were camping in Texas (once lived there) I would do it ALL different!

Never a question in my mind. I went with both power supplies. I run the small appliances (Outdoor TV, XM radio, phone charger, ceiling fan, interior lights, etc) on the 12V system and the major stuff from 110V (A/C, Laptop, DVD, Speakers, some interior lights, inside TV, coffee maker, porch light).
Am I a gadget freak??

The little lawn mower battery( w/trickle charger) does a great job and the 110 does the rest.

I wanted to be prepared for a lot of different situations so I also have a Honda generator to power the A/C and other 110V stuff if there is the opportunity.

I figured, why not be prepared so I tried to cover all the bases. (Scout's Honor)

I'm not much of a campground camper, so I'm not installing a 110 system. I'm not quite sure what I would want to run on 110 anyway (except my blow dryer and curling iron).

Mine is a 12v only system. I'm going to hook up a feed from my alternator to my trailer battery and that should keep me charged up.
