voted country, you left out oldies from 60's and 70's. Good music back then you could understand what the singer was saying. Better music to dance to, slow and close

:M :M :M
Some days all you can do is smile and wait for some kind soul to come along and pull your ass out the bind you've gotten yourself into.

What- no Blues.??? I guess modern blues is a cross between rock & roll and R&B.
I like Bluegrass and country as well. As long as I can play along a little with my guitar and harmonica, it's OK with me.
Coming up this summer, I will attend three blues fests and one Blue Grass festival. I think I just like camping with the teardrop as long as there is some kind of music involved.

Ron,

My grass is blue, but really like most types of tunes, the blues rates high as does classic rock. Live music is best. Support your local musicians.

Silence. Blessed Silence.

Radio's been broken in the truck for last 5 years. Don't plan to fix it. Just needs and antenna.

First thing I do when getting into the wife's car is turn off the radio. She listens to J93.3 - Christian Music.

Must be these dad gummed hearing aids! Music irritates me.

I really do like all music, but mostly listen to classic rock, and the new rock, but love the 70s music and I am in Oklahoma , so there's some country music I like. Depends on the song.

For instance, just last night --- here's how my music tastes differ ----

I was on yahoo music, and listened/watched the Keith Urban "Making Memories of Us" (country love song!) then Korn "Coming Undone" (heavy rock/metal) then Kelly Clarkson "Walk Away" (pop)

I like going to our local Bluegrass music nights once in a while, lots of jamming and some bands on stage. Anybody can bring a guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and start jammin. There's been so nice music and some singing along too. I love the harmony, used to be in the Sweet Adelines!!!

Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Just a coincidence, but I'm about a 3rd the of the way thru copying from 45 rpm to mp3s about 200 songs. These are from the late 40s thru the 50s. They include a lot of the stuff that was danced to at school dances during that time, such as Teen Angel. Then there are such things as the Purple People Eater. The records were my wife's during her school years and her being a big Elvis fan they include about 25 of his songs some on the Sun label.

I voted for Blue Grass which I really love. But my all time favorite is Big Band music from the '40s. Benny Goodman was the greatest! Btw, I grew up with '60s rock, and I like that stuff as well.

I voted for bluegrass because that's what comes closest to what I like to lilsten to. I play in a band (with and for my wife) and we play a mix of a lot of styles including Old-time Canadian, Celtic, French-Canadian, Appalachian, Bluegrass, Roots, Americana, Brazilian, Jazz, etc. A mix of a lot of things. We are full time musicians that spend approx 250 days a year on the road. That's why our TD is still not finished :)

later!

Went to the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest this weekend, if youve never seen a washtub base, a flute , a saw, two madolins, a fiddler, a d hole guitar, and a vintage parlor guitar jam for 45 minutes you've never seen music! I wish I could post a video it was crazy! Anyway I like it all, there must be music playing in our house all the time its a rule. I usually defer to my family for music choice but when I am by myself I will confess it's loud hard guitar rock, Leo Kottke, Bella Fleck, or anything weird.
