Where will your hinges be on the doors? On top?

That is the plan. I'm actually intimidated at the thought that I need to fabricate my own doors due to the odd shape and dimension.

The trick is to upload images to your Gallery first, then you can insert as many as you like into your posts.

Have you thought about having the drawer come out of the side?

Thank you very much for the tip, eLink!

I did think about that. I'm still open to ideas.
Here is my thought: I like the idea of a hatch door in the back that can also be an entry door. A remote benefit is I could put larger items inside the trailer, it provides a limited utility function. If I do side pullout, it will need be at the front. A "kitchen" is at the front might be away from other stuff. Also the front side real estate is blocked by the tongue. Another tangential benefit of pulling out from the back, the pulling handle is covered inside the back hatch door, one less hole I have to cut on the wall.

. For the metal, the plan is 1/4 inch 2x2 square tubings for the frame

you have already lost the fight. it dose not have to be mine is bigger than yours. you could stack three full-size cars on that
I like the design you didn't get lazy and just cut one corner off

I noticed they are selling a 50 degree trailer coupler for the A-frame tongue. Does that mean 50 degree is a "preferred" angle for A-frame tongue? Any theory on what is an optimal angle of an A-frame tongue (if such a number exist)? I wonder what is the importance of the angle.
I roughly measured my design is about 54 degrees. Maybe I should consider adjusting it to be 50.
Thanks in advance!

Curious Tony, and mind you I’m a newbie here, but on a 10ft. box, is not the correct axle placement 48” from the rear for a 40/60 split? This drawing indicates 44” rear and 76” to the front. The diagram does show a slight offset of the axle to the front of the wheel center and perhaps that’s why you mentioned this? It appears however, according to this sketch that this build already favors a slightly heavier tongue load. I’ve started a new build of my own on a 5x10 and am in the early learning stage here. Sorry, think I figured it out, the sketch you posted was not his build but an example of a good 40/60 split as his is a 5x8 and you posted a 5x10.

Looks like the diagram was his example of 60/40. Spindles 44" from the back on 120" frame.

Incorrect spindle placement seems to be a common issue on offroad squaredrops for some reason. Leading to insufficient tongue weight and they have to come back later and add heavy tongue box or move more items to the front. Maybe they only think of the frame dimensions, but then add the additional overhang of the galley off the back without taking this into account. Don't know
