Looking at some cool options and ideas as I get started on my trailer. My wife and I have always loved the distressed look of patina’d galvanized steel. In a quick search, it’s easy to find roof flashing in 20” width rolls. I could cover the joints with strips of just about anything. I was thinking of polished 1/8” aluminum, controlling the galvanic corrosion of dissimilar metals by installing them with VHB tape. I’d seal the butt joints in the sheeting first with p/u caulk.
We’d patina the galvi with mild acids, rust it up a little, and then clear coat it.
I’m only envisioning this on the top/front. Probably paint the sides in her favorite turquoise and brown combo.
