my exprience with RAKA epoxy

I just finished skinning my bare wood TD with RAKA 3.25oz fiberglass cloth and epoxy. I laid out all the pieces and cut them to fit, holding them in place with thumb tacks/pushpins(overlapping about 2" at all the seams). I bought the pumps to fit the epoxy bottles from RAKA(this worked great and made it really easy to mix) 4 pumps epoxy to 2 pumps hardener gave me the correct amount to work with before it started to harden to much to work with. depending on what surface I was working on I either poured it on or brushed it on and spread it out with a bondo spreader. it soaked right through the cloth and into the wood. I had no problems what so ever, it was quite easy. I had rubber gloves on the entire time I was working and mixed the epoxy in a paper or Styrofoam cup and threw it away when I was done.

Sounds good!

Thumbtacks are a great idea, that's one I need to file away...

Can you share any pictures?

Rob

I also like the thumb tack idea, will use that for sure.

Thank you,

here it is, I didn't take any pics with the cloth on before I put on the epoxy-

I still need to put another coat of epoxy on to smooth it out/fill it in some more.
