When using Luan as exterior plywood under PMF, would most of you just use exterior water-proofing primer under the PMF with a good exterior paint?

Or would you use "The Mix" first, then primer?

Also has this idea been proven, or should I go with Marine plywood instead?

viewtopic.php?f=50&t=45718. I havent done it myself but this build has the best canvas covered tear I have seen, I am sure there are others out there. They seem to be pretty good in responding to questions also. Maybe give it a try.

I covered my luan with a polyester cloth. What worked best for me was just spreading the paint kind of thick, then putting down the cloth. It water gets under the 4 layers of paint, and the cloth I don't think a coat of primer will make a. Difference.
