As recommended by another person on this forum, I used Target Coatings EM9300 over the epoxy on my tongue box. Still waterproof, clear and shiny after many years.

The tongue box can be quite a target for rock and dirt thrown up by the tow vehicle. The EM 9300 must be pretty tough stuff as I don't have dings or penetrations from road debris.
