My local aluminum supplier was quoting me gauges....

Postby downsouthcamper » Tue Oct 25, 2016 9:33 am

They mentioned 26 gauge for the thickest option and i was trying to get as close to .040 as possible. Anyone with experience in this area that could let me know a gauge equivalent to .040?

laying my hands on some colored aluminum is much more difficult than i thought and some suppliers have quoted me around $450 to get it to my doorstep her in Jackson, MS.

Here is a gage chart I found giving gage to thickness. It has a alumin scale also.

Painted aluminum panels are used for signs. Check with a sign supply distributor or a local sign shop.
