Wrapping PMF....

Postby MJWBuffalo » Fri Jan 31, 2020 11:09 am

So I decided on PMF after reading literally hundreds of pages here. I am satisfied that the process of painting "the mix" on the plywood, TBII, high quality canvas combined with lots of coats of good exterior paint and sanding can leave a lightweight, tough, waterproof surface that is also pretty smooth. I like that is gets me the desired result while going easy on the budget and being incredibly DIY friendly.

Here's the parts I haven't seen answered.... how much do I wrap? Like I understand that I overlap the corners and then wrap the roof down over the walls. But do I have also wrap inside the door and window openings? Can I wrap the whole thing in vinyl afterwards? Will it stick?

I am using my DIY Standie as a food trailer and will need some flashy graphics or at least a snazzy paint job that will help me stand out from the crowd

Thanks

Matt

Vinyl wrap works best on a smooth surface. It might stick to PMF finished with glossy paint but you should test to see if it looks the way you want.

Yep. When in doubt, test it out! :D
