Can this roof be filon skinned in one piece?

Postby drewspuppet » Thu Oct 19, 2023 1:18 am

This is the plan I started with, and pic is easiest to understand angles involved. I’ve built most the body, just extended the rear a couple feet keeping same angle slope.

Is filon able to work with 12 degree to 12 degree pitch, and then a 12 to 40 ?

Thanks for your input

Are you asking if filon can be bent?

Yes, bent at the degree ranges across the top without issues

There is a minimum radius, what that is I can't say. You should ask the company, or better yet get a sample and try it.

You may be able to round those corners enough by sanding but I would want to test a sample before buy a roll of it. Even if it can make the bends, will the adhesive hold in the long term?
