I like the them all!!. I checked out George's site and did not find any links to his trailer specifically. But did just finish going through the photos of Gages project. Which is awesome. I had been thinking about fenders and the need for some larger ones in a larger design. In another post in this forum, I saw where you had cut a side profile. It too, to me looked like a cabin car/modernistic. It is so hard to judge scale when looking at just a side profile that has no other reference points.
I have drawn a few profiles of my own and just doing it freehand, they came out very much like the modernistic.
I have to reinstall an old CAD program (Design CAD) that I have worked in after I get the software from a friend of mine. Then I can sit down, trace out some profiles and start getting a little more serious.
In looking at photos of people's trailers, I can tell that there is alot more to it than meets the eye. I am new to all of this but am thinking there are numerous factors to consider in creating a design than will yeild the desired finished results.
Unless my eyes are playing tricks, I think Georges Benroy is longer than Duanes.
My very first idea was a 12ft - 13ft design. With a rear bed and a slide out Galley in the front. I also would like a wide (kingsize bed) trailer.
However I am now not wanting to go long than 10ft. And having anxiety over making it narrower (queen bed).

I think the galley can be done in the front of the trailer, which is what was appelaing about Georges trailer. There seems to be a greater distance from the door to the front of the trailer.
I was initially thinking I would need steel framing for the walls and may still need them in order do a slide out front galley design. But would like to avoid this if possible.
I am concerned about lateral strength in the rear, since the rear galley provides structural integrity.

I am thinking really sick thoughts and that is putting the bed on a Joeybed frame and sliding it out the back of the trailer. This might allow me to plumb in toilet in the front or porta poti. So the Ken-Skill rear design is attractive.
Finally, I would like the design to have a very vintage appearance.
I did a post asking about Drop Axles vs Torsion axles in another forum, anythoughts?
