Florida Chapter of the Tear Jerkers Florida Keys get away

Postby Woody » Sun Mar 13, 2005 11:58 pm

Would any body like it if I setup up a gathering in the Keys? Any body interested. Fun, sun fishing, many drinks with litle umbrellas in May or June

Woody,

We won't be able to that this year  but next year  Sun, Fun, Sand and Margarittas'. I guess I'd better find my lost shaker of salt 8)

We have to wait and see how many vacation days Carla can get for next year.

What are the temps like down there in May and June?

Ross,

The date isn't set in stone yet. The temps down here in May and June.
May is when the humidity picks up and the temps are pushing the high 80's to mid 90's. June 1st Hurricane seasons starts and it starts the rainy season in inland areas. In the keys with the ocean breezes it is alittle cooler but nice. A/C weather for sure. I was also thinking of possibly later in the year like October. the humidity drops and it gets cooler, mid to high 70's and cooler nights. With the unpredictability of the up and coming Hurricane season, October the keys might not exsist, that is why I was thinking earlier in the year unless I step on a pop top after losing a flip flop

I never have a care in the world when the Keys. The Conch Republic has it's place in my heart. Time moves slower there and the locals are great, different, but nice

Right on Woody - spent some time in Marathon a couple years ago while bringing a customer's cruiser around and up the Gulf... A different lifestyle but one which I could get used to quickly... My username most places is OldeBeachbum.. If I wasn't stuck in Missouri right now I'd be in on that get-together... Maybe next year after I return to Florida...
Reality? What a concept!

A teardrop and the Keys is a great combination! Oh yes, while everyone up north is still digging out from the snow  . I'll be hanging at the Tiki Bar in Islamorada checking out the sights 8) and having a beer. It's like I always say " I will never be colder than my beer again!, that's why I live here"
