I will be using a 5x8 frame extended to 8x11 feet. Pretty much a standard shape with a full galley in the back. Wood sides. White interior with black cabinets. Bamboo floor. and no mattress. An Ac. An asian theme. Canopy for the side.

Sorry to say, 2 or 3 months yet. Time and money demands before then.

No mattress? Are you using a sleeping bag on the floor? It sounds like it's going to look pretty cool. I like the black cabinets idea. Mine was a 5x10 with two doors (thank goodness). The previous owner/builder didn't build cabinets inside or in the galley but a friend of mine built a couple for me as a "Teardrop Warming" present. I am a horrible carpenter so I bought Rubbermaid storage drawers and created a galley, which worked out great! I envy you guys and gals who can build your own Teardrop...kudos to you!

I have a few surprise secrets I am working on to make work on paper. One is the sleeping. I will say it is a table. You can take it apart in 2 sections and it becomes a 6'6" by 30 inch bed. 6" mattress. So if it is as a table most of the floor is open and uncluttered.
