I like 5 gallon buckets, camp stools, camp sinks, coolers, storage, color code your gear, cheap, tough, you can even wash your clothes in one.

I picked up this little stainless bathroom sink for my trailer for $5.00. It's small, but I just plan on putting a blue water jug above it and use it for washing hands/brushing teeth. It will just drain into a bucket. For washing dishes I use a couple of pink hospital tubs.

Most of the time I just throw my dishes in the camp fire!

Still working out my build myself. I really thought I wanted a sink in the design, but after much thought, I will not have one. I would rather have all the space. In the meantime, we have been using this thing. It works GREAT! I laugh every time we do the few dishes we have to do after meals, and it will fit in my drawer after I am done with the build.

I think it was one of the best 40 bucks I have spent to date.

so i found this faucet at menards

http://www.menards.com/main/kitchen/hot-water-dispensers/plumbworks-chrome-one-handle-drinking-water-faucet/p-1390306-c-8677.htm

so i can officially use this sink

http://www.menards.com/main/kitchen/kitchen-sinks/stainless-steel-bar-sink/p-1655156-c-8510.htm

and ill plug the other hole with a counter mounted soap dispenser,

but with that cheap of a faucet, ive decided to pull the trigger on an on-demand pump. i saw someone mention shurflo pumps on here somewhere, are there any other brands? any recommendations on which one i need, i noticed their smallest one said it wasnt for faucets (not sure what it is for). again im trying to stay as cheap as functionally possible.

I've been using this one in my homebrewery for the last 20 years without trouble.

Designed for pumping drinking water on boats and RVs.

Not self priming but in a trailer it's pretty easy to keep the pump below the supply tank.

i should add, i could end up with the tank above the pump, but life may be easier if it didnt have to be. and of course with that faucet, i will want an on-demand pump, that starts up when i turn the faucet on, and stops when i let go.

what about this one, any thoughts?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XM5G70/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p263_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=069DHPNGWH41S3QSR1ZV&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846

can run dry, self priming, on demand. seems like everything i would need, and the price is more than doable.

SHURflos are well built, and have a good reputation. Also rebuild kits are available.

I notice it doesn't have a pressure switch. When you switch it on, it will run until you switch it off. This could be controlled with a faucet that has a built in switch or a switch next to the faucet. You can get ones that have a built in pressure switch. They will turn on when the faucet is open, and turn off when you close it. External pressure switches are also available, but will take a bit of plumbing to tie them in. I also notice it is 3 gallons per minute. That is way more than you need for a small sink faucet. 1 to 2 GPM would be much better. If the pump is oversized for the faucet flow rate, then the pump may cycle. If that happens, an accumulator tank will help.

This is a 1.1 GPM Flowjet with an on demand pressure switch.

Flowjet is also a good company, but not quite as widely sold as SHURflo.

SHURflo's accumulator tank.

You can make your own with a T, short section of pipe, and some fittings. The pipe needs to be at least a couple inches in diameter and about a couple feet long. Cap one end. Use reducer fittings to mate the other end up to the T. Mount it with the capped end up. The tee then goes inline with the hose from the pump to the faucet. The trapped air will compress when the pump pressurizes the water. This style will eventually get water logged if left in use for years, but you will be draining the water system at least yearly so it should get it's air supply refreshed. A tire valve could be put into the cap end to allow refilling the air, but it isn't needed for RV use.

even better, and its cheaper. thanks!

what are the major benefits and drawbacks of a tank, i mean i get the point and all, but is it going to be all "spurt-y" without one? i could always add it later if its useable but slightly annoying without it.
