Ha  haha Ya you don’t know me very well. I plan my projects out so well, that I spent more time planning. Then on the first cut ( or part of the project ) I screw up and now have to compensate on the rest of the project for the first mistake. My moto, Cut twice because you only measured once.

I just screen captures a few good pictures of valve assembly off Flea-Bay so I’m good for a picture.

EDIT Added Pic and Text

A few more hours out of my life. Not too shabby, but I'm not gonna do threads on the ends of the rods. Still need to do the fuel spout, the pump. I used my 200a and it is as close to the actual size shape and scale as I can get it.

OK just need to make the dimple around the fuel cap and I’m done with this project. Too bad I do not have an really good way to render this in a camping sean.

Naw, he still bleeds Coleman fuel. Sometimes you just have to dance with the Devil to get to Heaven.

Got My 228E, Jul-59, in friday, really clean but someone painted their initials on it in two places. Looks like fingernail polish, hopefully it will come off. Put on two new mantels and a little bit of fuel and she fired up nicely.

Saturday I got the 228C, B-46, and my Frankenstein. Turns out Frank is a 228B Jan-40. The 228C loses pressure quickly, so it will have to be rebuilt. The 228B value is frozen, and the tank rattles like a one arm 73 year old maracas player. It is going to be rebuild but not cleaned or polished at all. I going to keep this one a true beater. I need a wooden handle and a coffee can to fix up the homemade reflector setup.

Here is the 228C and Frank. ( sorry again only have a cheap V-cam for pictures)

Here is 228E and a few other in a little Mini light up. Only ones that had fuel in them this week. Left to right

Hey if I have any lantern in my collection that some one needs for a Birthday lantern, Plz let me know. I’ll trade them for an equal quality of the same model whatever year ( if it is one of my 228s ). 220s I not collecting but I pick up if I find them.

I’m also looking for May 1964 lanterns, besides the 200A ( Got 2 already ). According to the Coleman collectors web page listing, the only other model made in 1964 should be the model 202, 220F & 228F, 237A, and 252A Mil,

Here my list of lanterns

228B Jan 1940
228C B-1946
228D B-1948
228E Jul 1959
200A Oct 1961 Burgundy ( only trade for another Burgundy )
228F Oct 1969
220H May 1973
228H Apr 1974
228J Jul 1978
220J Mar 1977
228K Humm from what I see on the net they did not make the 228K. I might have to take apart a 220K and make a 228K just to F with the coleman collectors.

Was a little out of the hunting, lots of work, but managed to score a 413H for five bucks and a 426D for free....Now I guess I'll have to get to lantern hunting again.
