scored a 426 at a flea market today

I had to drive out to West Virginia today for work and passed a large indoor flea market.
Talk about a giant mess! It had a lot of junk in piles and plastic tubs scattered all over. I spent my time looking over everything and spotted this big guy at the end of the last room. Perseverance pays off!

The owner wanted $35 but I only had $20 on me. He took the $20 :D
If I remember correctly the date is 6/78. Is it a 426 D?

Upon closer inspection after getting home, the tank won't get any pressure so I will need to check the gaskets and oil the leather cup. Rust is only superficial. A lot of what I thought was rust is actually dirt. It should look a lot better with a good cleaning although I am thinking of doing a complete restore.

Nice Three burner.

My dad had one like that. A Tornado got it. Really a tree that fell in the tornado.. blah blah... long story short, Flattened.

I’m not ready to start collection stoves yet, but this month 3 small 504 stoves all dated 5-64 showed up on FleaBay so I had to get one. Probably harder to get a camping stove dated 5-64.
