Hi Sharon

I thought something like this would be a good alternative to an ez-up type canopy. It's lighter and quicker to put up compared to an ez-up. Luckily for me my hatch and props are quite strong. It does put more stress on my props and if that becomes a problem later on I may use additional props only for when I use the canopy.

Hey all

I've been looking for a long time and I finally found a diamond plate tongue box that fits the harbor freight A-frame. I found it on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Trailer-Truck-o ... ba&vxp=mtr The only draw back is it can't be up against the camper. It had to be mounted a bit forward for the top to open. Other than that I really like it.

Larry,

I agree with KC. The rock guard and tongue box look like they were planned from the start. Very nice!

Take care,

Fits the angle of the tongue well enough, it looks like it was custom made for it. Ties in nice with the rock guard and adds a functional "bling".

Had to do the same thing with mine.

Looks good Larry

Thanks Guys

Now it's time to start thinking about something a little bit (BIGGER). Maybe then I'll be able to drag the other half out camping with me.

Yeah Cliff, she definitely likes the wide width and 2 doors but what she really wants is one she could actually stand up in with a bathroom plus all the other comforts of a RV. Maybe I'll start looking for one of those fiberglass campers like the scamp. Something light enough that I could pull with my ford ranger.

The side tent and canopy on together for the first time.
I didn't have the room in my yard so I took it somewhere else.

You shouldn't have any problem selling that adorable little teardrop. Best of luck finding something that will get you and your wife out camping.

Thanks Becky

I don't know for sure what I'm going to do. I hate the thought of selling my teardrop but if I find a larger camper that we both like,
I may part with it. I'm in no hurry.

Well Larry, this is a bittersweet "congratulations". :NC
But, as I so well understand it, a man's got to do what a man's got to do.
Good luck on your search for a camper that will fit both the requirements of your wife and yourself, in this case, size really does matter. (no orneriness intended)

Good things come to good people Larry, and I feel that you all fit in that category. Be patient my friend, a deal will come along....... :)
