Last year I had 20+ fired up and placed along my little road coming in from the country road. And on my machine shed, house, trees, vehicles. Dang it was cold for this old codger. Will see what the cold and snow is like this year. Also keep the kerosene lanterns close to the house as they need more pumping.
I started the day before with fueling them up and pumping up pressure so on the 24th I mostly had to fire them up. put them out, gather them up and bring them in the house. I was tired and cold but it was kind of fun. Even if i only had one family visit.

I skipped last years light up so I will try to participate this year. Last time I prepped the morning of. Had every one lit and working but one that night. Man was it a lot of work. Never could have done it without my husbands help. He set up the display area and ran the lanterns out after I got them lit.

I was also thinking about pulling the TD out, open up the hatch, hang a lantern or two and fire up a stove to heat some water for hot chocolate or coffee. Kind of depends on snow and cold and if I expect more than one group to drive through. I do live way out in the country.

I have 30+ lanterns fueled and pumped up and it look like the weather is probably going to not be to bad tonight. A bit of wind and a bit colder than last night was. Do not know how many people will stop by. I live way out of town so not many compared to what one would get in town.
