I took a while for me to find a 9/65 at a price I was willing to pay. I watched one get re-listed 3 times for way too much. Then I got one for the opening bid. Another option would be to look for a good fount with your date and build your b-day lantern, but that would be a last resort kind of thing.

I think there should be a separate thread titled "Birthday Lanterns Wanted" where we could put in the info. When you find a garage sale treasure, you could easily check to see if you could make someone extra happy! When you get your birthday lantern, you could delete your post.
