Shout out to Steve aka Woodbutcher!

I dont normally do this but this lantern is so great. I had a big backlog of lanterns and I have been on a mission to make all my lanterns work. So I finally got to this jewel. Its a Sears avocado green 1978 . All I did was put on some of Colemans finest and blow out the tank with air. Fired right up. Its been burning for a couple of hours now.

Woodbutcher played a role in me getting this lantern . An impossible feat for California. Thanks so much, its awesome. Could not have done it without you. 8) 8)

Glad it worked out well Kirk. I did not find any Sears Lanterns in 2013. I did see a few but the prices they were asking was crazy. But there is always this year! Just over 3 months till Flea Market season opens.

I do not believe I have seen any Sears stuff in these parts. Which is strange as back in the day Sears was bigger ( percentage wise ) than Walmart is today. Well, Sears and Monkey Wards. I still remember filling out the order form. Mailing it to them with a check and a few weeks later the USPS brought the package. For a few years we lived 2 miles from our mail box so they usually left the package on the ground for us to get. Never did lose a package.

Well Slow, I will not make it this year to Walk the Winds. Joe B. and Paul A. are getting together this July for a Kentucky trip. But 2015 could be another trip out west. Too bad Angie can't make it. If you just move the wedding to the camp ground everything would work out! Think of it this way, you have an extra year to get the new trailer built!
