Darn it, now you've got me doing it!

Lanterns, stoves, etc... anything old!

Darn it, now you've got me doing it!

Postby Greg M » Sat Feb 22, 2014 4:27 pm

There I was, minding my own business, checking out the thrift stores, when I catch a glimpse of silver out of the corner of my eye. The next bit is a blur, all I can remember is going back out to the car thinking, boy this thing is HEAVY! Somehow, in my disassociated state, I bought a JC Higgens camp stove. I blame you people for this! Your post-hypnotic suggestions have completely robbed me of my willpower, and now I am doomed.
But, enough about me, all you want is the pictures.

So, where do I start learning the great mysteries of white gas, and what have I gotten myself into?

I haven't fired it up yet, the pump seems to be varnished up. I've got it soaking in lacquer thinner, so I'll try later. The paint is obviously a re-spray, but how could I resist for ten bucks?

Don't anybody tell my wife, but I've already got a hankering for a 530 GI style stove. Help!

After you get that...then you need the Coleman surgical stove....It's the 530...but with 2 burners! twice the rocket noise. Doug

Then a 200A..... and a Bighat 220...Maybe a Turd since the brown would complement the stoves color..
