Sears Strike

Postby Woodbutcher » Sun May 11, 2014 6:21 pm

Just when I said I had not seen any Sears stuff I find this today at the Flea market. It has never been fired up. No fuel smell in the tank. The dealer held firm at 10 bucks. I buckled and handed him the money.....then I ran away. Looks like a 1976 according to the instruction book that came with it.

I remember Dad having one similar. I think his may have been a Coleman. I remember thinking to 10 year old self how weird of a design it was to have the fuel tube going over the burner.

Nice score by the way.

OMG, that is the deal of the year! Nice find.

Now the million dollar question: Will you light it and use it, or is it too special?

I will light it and bring it to a gathering this year. Maybe I am nuts but I believe in using all my stuff. It just seems wrong to let is sit on a shelf for another 40 years.
