I'm betting that somebody told Slow that it meant something else. Mike would never use that word if he knew its true meaning.

Ladies, please do not take offense at what Slowcowboy wrote.
We all know that Mike is a devout Christian and is saving himself for marriage.

Somebody is having fun at his naive expense. Poor Slow. It's not right that they should do that to him.
Whoever that mean spirited person(s) is(are), I hope they fall down in a pile of wet cow-patties while wearing their best clothes and brand new boots!

Both parties should really consider what is being said or written and think before they speak. To become defensive and denigrate another's opinion is offensive in itself. The use of the term womanizer could be considered demeaning to women and one should understand a term if they are to use it. Enough said.

I hope you don't think that I was targeting anything you said because I wasn't. I simply very much dislike it when someone takes advantage of another person for their own personal satisfaction and/or chuckles. (Again, not meaning you.)

Sharon, how do you know someone else played a hand in his using the word womanizer? I agree he probably doesn't understand the word or it's implications but where's the hint someone's playing a joke on him.

Thank you, George. People need to be responsible for their words.

Instead of NIT-PICKING somebody for the improper use of a word,
One should READ the meaning instead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :? :?

The FIRST sentence says IT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharon; This is why I don't post much.
Thanks for your help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just as well that he knows anyway.
Can you imagine him asking women if they'd like to womanize with him or, maybe, while he's at the bank, getting some money, he says he's going womanizing tonight?
There's probably not a woman in town who would have much to do with him after that. At least, not the right kind of woman.

Did ya notice that he's been quiet on this thread since that first posting? I think he's probably

Ah, well...might as well have some fun with it, now that it's done.

Besides the total incomprehension of a word I guess I don't understand the purpose of his post in the first place.

Innocent semantic confusion, comingled with an intense desire to communicate with others of a common grouping, often leads to speaking ones' mind without first weighing one's words. I empathize. I often just reach out, and share my thoughts and reasoning (or non-reasoning?), before I have evaluated all permutations and consequences of the missive. Though I strive to make my intrapersonal communications available (through "asides" in the text), to give possible insight into my motivation for/projected process to achieve/expected (hoped for) results of the topic posted, I see that the context of the subject is sometimes lost to others. As in this OP's thread. In a similar vein,

I could add an alternative meaning to the verb "camp" (all of us here on TTT eventually want to "camp" in our trailers-right?)
from Wikipedia..... Camp derives from the French term se camper, meaning "to pose in an exaggerated fashion". The Oxford English Dictionary gives 1909 as the first print citation of camp as
ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical; effeminate or homosexual; pertaining to, characteristic of, homosexuals. So as a noun, ‘camp’ behaviour, mannerisms, et cetera. (cf. quot. 1909); a man exhibiting such behaviour.
:ilovecamp: ????? Since thoughts and communications are widely misunderstood, or taken out of context, perhaps I'll not become a "Happy Camper", after all (at one time my avatar stated that I wished to become one : i.e. a "Happy Camper", not a....). Sharon- maybe the OP has succumbed to "foot in mouth disease", as have we all, at one time or another....
