Point of clarification ... they are portable tanks for water, "mud", etc. however they do not have adequate load carrying ability to actually haul the liquids (single dual wheel axle limited to 20,000 lbs in most states.) When traveling down the road they are usually empty or almost empty. These tanks are almost always part of a mobile drill rig, dust control or washing station for a crushing operation, or other temporary work setup where the actual liquid is hauled in seperately, but needs to be stored on site while being used. Some have agitators (paddles, augers, pumps, etc.) that keep the contents stirred so that the "mud" doesn't separate.
