At Thanksgiving time, I ordered a new laptop to replace my "XP" laptop, which, by today's standards, is nearly an antique or at least vintage. (It's so old that nobody will even accept in for trade-in.) About a week ago, I got an email, telling me that my purchase had been delayed. Then, yesterday, I got another email, telling me that it was "lost" and they would credit back my account...in about 60 days.
Thank goodness I asked for store pick-up or I might have had an even bigger mess to deal with. But, I look at it this way...Somebody may be getting a really nice "free" present this Christmas and I guess it wasn't supposed to be for me in the first place. Who knows? Now that the sales are over, maybe I'll crawl along with my antique laptop for another year. After all, it still works!
Maybe I'll get myself an inexpensive book....
Anyway, Christmas is the season to share and give to others. Merry Christmas, everybody!
