Google Earth

I passed a Google cam about 3 weeks ago. Anyone know how long it takes for new footage to show up?

I met one last fall and it took until sometime this summer to be updated. It probably depends on how backlogged they are...so keep checking! The pictures they put up now are much higher resolution than they used to be.

We had one drive through the neighborhood last summer and it wasn't up until fall. I think they compile a ton of data in an area then put it all up. I can't imagine they can drive around all day and get that all uploaded over some hotel wifi overnight.

We can see a friend of mine's car in his driveway...and at the local railway station at the same time. Now that's cool :-)
Best Cheers

I saw one of my customers standing outside his work talking to someone. I told him about it the other day. He said he would have to have a look, and tell his daughter in London.

You've been able to see our place for about a year but not my address. Google map thinks I live 5 miles west of where I live. :?

They always seem to come to my neighbourhood when I'm on holidays, so the grass is always long.

That's a constant battle, Ray. there's a lot of disagreement over who owns addressing at the moment. The Post Office, local municipalities, utilities, 911 emergency services, all are arguing over addressing. It's at it's worst in the rural areas.

What's really bad is when I try to order somthing online and the computer tells me that my address doesn't exist. :x I've had to call and talk to a person several times to let them know that my address is correct and their computer is in error ... sometimes even then they don't believe me.

I'm retired Postal. Municipalities are in charge of addresses. The PO tries to get them to not repeat street names etc, not always successfully. And governments don't always tell the PO when they change street names. That's a mess.

What is really screwed up is I live 40 miles north east of Kansas city mo. My street number comes from KC because the further south you go the smaller the numbers. the house number comes from KC because the further west you go the smaller the numbers but I live on west 140th and the west comes from Richmond Mo which is where my mail comes from since they closed the post office in Rayville. Actually the good people of Rayville voted to dis-incorporate last year because they got tired of small town politics so Rayville doesn't really exist anymore any way.
