For those of you who will be traveling from the north, going south on I-65....there is a lot of construction between Greenwood, mile marker 99 to just north of Edinburgh, mile marker 80. I highly recommend getting off before the Greenwood exit, and taking US 31 south to at least Taylorsville, mile marker 76. Then get back on I-65 and go south.
On your way back, if you choose to take I-65 north, there have been numerous multi-vehicle accidents just north of Edinburgh, mile marker 80, because people don't seem to really believe there is construction coming up. Slow down, take your time, and watch your rear view mirror......oh, you can't, you have a camper following you
Me, I'll take US 31 down thru Columbus, Indiana, and then take Indiana 7 south to Vernon, Indiana, turn right onto Indiana 3 to W State Road 256, turn west and the Hardy Lake State Park will be on your right. These are the roads less traveled nowadays. My map says it's only about 30 minutes longer, about 8 miles farther, but it's not taking into account the traffic jam on I-65.
